The morning of Sarah and Dino’s maternity session was calling for sunshine and due to weather forecasts, this day was the best day and happened to fall on Sarah Baby shower. We both decided it would be perfect as she would be photo and party ready and didn’t want to chance waiting any longer to capture this special time.
When I headed out early in the morning to meet them, the fog was quite thick and I got super excited as we were shooting in big fields and the fig would add a fun element to their session. Seeing Sarah, I couldn’t get over how beautiful she looked and how well she suits pregnancy. I kept telling her she looked like a goddess and the dress she picked was perfect!
When we headed out into the field, the shoot took another turn…. the field was sopping wet (up to the ankles) but it was to late… we were in it. Whenever I do photo shoots in the fall/winter months, I am normally wearing rain boots since I lay and kneel on the ground to change my angles… my feet stayed dry but Sarah and Dino…. not so much. I felt terrible but to my surprise, Sarah and Dino were both in great spirits about it and laughed it off.
There was a few more aspects of the session that just kept us laughing more and more and I know that because they took it in and just enjoyed themselves any ways, it made their session more fun, giving great natural laughing shots and a story they can tell their child one day!
Sarah and Dino, you two are going to be incredible parents! I cannot wait to meet your little one and will forever remember your unique photo shootI will always step out into the field first!!! Ha!
